Help Keep Baby Charlotte Home
Donation protected

Since early November, Greg Lewis has been in a legal custody battle with the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services over his now 8-month-old daughter, Charlotte.
Charlotte was removed from Greg’s custody in what we contend to be a severe overreach by the department as Charlotte had not suffered any abuse, neglect or abandonment. In fact, Charlotte is a very loved, healthy, happy little girl. Greg has obtained an attorney to fight his case, and in the meantime, Charlotte is living with a relative more than 40 miles away from his home. Each and every single day, Greg makes the trip to be with his daughter and drives home at night after he’s tucked her into bed. He simply doesn’t “visit” with Charlotte, but he is an active parent.
Family separation should be an absolute last resort under severe circumstances; circumstances which we do not believe happened in Greg’s case. Charlotte is at a very vulnerable age, and while she experiences a lot of love and care in her foster home, she is happiest when she’s with her dad. She gleams with joy in his presence, and his absence is definitely felt, especially in the middle of the night when she reaches for her daddy’s scruffy beard and it’s not there.
Obtaining a reputable, seasoned attorney to plead his case has incurred an enormous cost that as a single dad, Greg is struggling to pay. Any funds raised not used in attorney’s fees will go into a college fund for Charlotte.
Please find it in your hearts to donate to this cause and help bring Charlotte to her rightful home, so she can tug on her daddy’s beard in he middle of the night again.
Thank you.
