While on a ski trip in Colorado, our close friend Ayden Slipsager, a 2025 Dunwoody High School graduate and freshman at UGA, a member of Theta Chi fraternity, was involved in a serious accident that left him with life-altering injuries. Since that day, he has been fighting hard and showing incredible progress, but the road ahead is long and challenging.
He is originally from Atlanta, and after careful evaluation, he has been accepted into the Shepherd Center—one of the best rehabilitation hospitals in the country for his type of injury. This gives us so much hope. Being there would allow him to receive the specialized care he needs while also being closer to family and a strong support system, which is critical for recovery.
Unfortunately, the cost to medically transport him from Colorado to Atlanta is overwhelming—nearly $100,000. This is an expense that insurance does not fully cover, and it’s a financial burden his family cannot take on alone.
We are asking for help so we can get him safely to Atlanta and give him the best possible chance at recovery. Any donation, no matter the size, truly makes a difference. If you’re unable to give, sharing this page also means more than you know.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for keeping him and his family in your thoughts during this incredibly difficult time.
