My name is Lizette, and I am raising funds for my father, Augusto Rosales. He is the heart of our family—a funny, gentle, and hardworking man who has always done everything he can to support us. On 3/24/26, our lives changed when my father was pulled over and detained by a police officer who claimed he was speeding in a school zone, even though there wasn’t a school zone. He was taken to jail, and now we are facing a situation we never imagined.

My father has always been the one to provide for our family, making sure we have a roof over our heads and everything we need. Since his detention, things have been incredibly difficult. My 16-year-old brother is struggling to focus on school, worried about our dad and what will happen next. My 6-year-old brother, who has autism, keeps asking for his father and says he misses him every day. He doesn’t want to go to school because he hasn’t seen his dad, and it breaks our hearts to see him so upset.
