Arlo has been a cherished part of our family, especially for my 11-year-old daughter, who calls him her best friend and emotional support animal. About a month ago, Arlo suddenly became sick, and we rushed him to the vet. The visit was costly, and the vet thought he was just stressed and needed a special diet. We followed their advice, hoping he would recover quickly.

Unfortunately, this week Arlo's condition took a turn for the worse. He stopped eating, drinking, and urinating, and started sleeping in his litterbox. We knew something was seriously wrong, so we took him back to the vet a different vet. This time, they said he needed emergency surgery and required another payment just to keep him there for care. The total cost to bring Arlo home is more than we can manage right now, and we have to pay the full amount before he can be released. We signed a surrender form in case we can't come up with the funds in time, which was heartbreaking.

I had to sit down with my daughter and explain that if we can't raise the money, Arlo may have to stay at the clinic. She was devastated, but we both know we're doing everything we can to help him.
