On Sunday, July 26, 2026, my cousin Argenis Torres was detained by ICE agents and officers from the Caldwell County Sheriff Department and the U.S. Forest Service during a raid at Wilson Creek. Argenis is legal in this country and was detained for no reason, along with twelve others. The situation was terrifying—sheriff’s deputies blocked the exit while law enforcement chased mothers, fathers, and children into the creek, making multiple arrests.

Argenis is an honest, hard-working man who came to this country legally. He has always contributed to his community and never deserved to be threatened or treated this way. Our family is devastated and urgently needs help to pay the legal fees required to get Argenis out of jail and support him as he fights for his rights.

We are asking for your support to help bring Argenis home. Please stand with us and show that our community cares about justice and compassion. Your donation will make a real difference in his life and help us reunite our family.
