Anselmo Garcia was on his way to work when he was illegally pulled over and taken into custody by ICE. Anselmo is the sole provider of our family of 5 which includes our diabetic mother, myself, my sister and 3 brothers. Anselmo was recently approved his work visa and was granted permission to reside in the US. But this 48 year old husband, father, brother and uncle is being held at the Otay detention facility illegally and away from his family. He has worked hard for the past 20 years to build a life in the US which includes taking care of his family and volunteering at his local church. He is a contribution to this economy as he pays his taxes every year and has no criminal record. We are asking for help to cover his legal fees, household fees as he’s not working and we need to pay our bills. Also for medical expenses for my mother as she is a diabetic. My dad has no criminal record and has done everything they’ve asked and he was still taken from us. We have no information on how’s he is doing and when we will see him again.
