Help Bring Ann Home

Ann is a very healthy, strong, loving mother of 3 and, her sidekick Maddie  her 5 year old granddaughter. She also has two more grandchildren on the way. Ann is a person that many love.  She is special in many ways.
Unfortunately Ann got sick and went to many doctors. They told her it was a virus she needs to fight off. The next day things started getting worse. She went to the ER at South west general. There they told her she has strep throat. The next day or so things were still not getting better. Then she went to her family doctor , all the while having a fever and throwing up and not able to talk much , and not able to eat (signs not looking good). The next day she started off better, she went and ran errands and even cooked dinner for the family , even though she couldn't eat, that's what kind of person she is.
That night Ann woke her family up choking on a lot of blood. Marissa, her 12 year old daughter, called 911 and with no time to waste her "Rock" Ken took her in her car to Southwest general ER. This is where her life changed forever. Ann went into cardiac arrest, or as they say coded. She coded two times. The first time was for four minutes , the second time was quite longer , sixteen minutes to be exact.  During this time the ER department was trying to save her life and they accidentally missed her throat and put a hole in the back of her throat where there wasn't a hole before. My heart breaks thinking about how painful that must have been for her. At southwest general her family was by her side and was told that they need to life flight her to Univeristy Hospital Main Campus in Cleveland.
No time to waste.  At southwest general they began cooling treatments to save her organs. On route to Universtity they took her off cooling treatment.  All the while air from the hole in her throat that was accidentally put there, filled Ann's whole body with air.
Now getting to Main Campus they started cooling treatments again. This is where the family learned Ann coded two times totalling  twenty minutes. After the cooling treatment for forty eight hours they tried to wake her. Ann woke up and squeezed hands and moved her feet several times.
Road blocks began that very day. Things changed for the worse. Ann got a fever and they would keep coming , she was very weak. Doctors found the next day that Ann had a abcess in her throat that is very serious and surgery was needed. Ann then became septic. Her progress of the recovery of the brain took a step back. Ann fought eight days straight to fight the infection and she did. The entire time she had a fever everyday, almost every minute.
The doctors now concentrate on her brain which is still not responding since the first day. She was hooked up to an EEG and had many MRI's done to let us know that Ann does have brain damage. But don't get it wrong, Ann is not brain dead. This is where Ann sits resting, recovering, with her (Rock) Ken that is by her side daily. Now this is where the after care begins.
Any donations for medical expenses and extra medical cost would be greatly appreciated.
