Hello, my name is Jose but all my friends call me Lalo. The man in the picture with me was a friend of mine named Andres. I am trying to help raise some find for him and his family. Andres passed away Saturday August 3rd in Monticello, Indiana. If you have some time I would like to tell you guys a little about him and why I am hoping that you will help if you have the means, and desire to do so.

Andres, much like a lot of my friends, was an immigrant. He came from Mexico to the United States to help raise some money. I feel this is a position a lot of us can sympathize with since we are either immigrants or sons and daughters of immigrants. The hardships that involve leaving one's family to come to a foreign country where life (we are told) is supposed to be easier and better, well they cannot be undersold. I feel especially for Andres, not just because he was a friend, but he had a wife in Mexico. His hopes were exactly what my dad's were when he first came to the US. Make enough money to build a better home for his family back in Mexico, or to bring his wife to the US with him. Unfortunately, some of us make it and some of us don't. Andres was so close to making it. He was a genuine guy with an amazing heart. He had a lot of love and cared so much for the people in his life and for God. That is how I met him. I had the privilege to study the bible with Andres and it made me so happy to see how much he valued God's word.

The pain of losing a family member is terrible. The pain of losing a family member in a foreign land where you cannot go to say goodbye, well that is even worse. I am hoping that we can raise funds to help get Andres home, so that his family can find closure and mourn for their loved one properly.
