Why Ayden is raising support
Ayden is starting this fundraiser for a deeply personal reason: after a terrifying medical emergency involving Ayden’s 12-year-old sister in Burgas, Bulgaria, their family came face to face with how fragile emergency care can be. While visiting family, Ayden’s sister was suddenly struck by violent vertigo. The room was spinning, she could not stand, and she was sick and terrified. Ayden’s mother called for an ambulance, only to be told something no family should ever hear in a crisis: there were only four ambulances serving the entire city of Burgas, a city of about 200,000 people, and they would have to wait. That moment made it painfully clear that this is not a failure of the medics, who work tirelessly to save lives, but a lack of essential vehicles and equipment.
That night, Ayden’s family decided they could not simply hope things would improve on their own. They want to help create a safer future for Ayden’s sister and for every family in Burgas. Funds raised will go toward purchasing an ambulance and the necessary equipment inside it for use in Burgas, Bulgaria, helping emergency responders reach people faster when every minute matters. An additional ambulance would not only help one patient at a time, but strengthen the city’s emergency response as a whole by reducing wait times, improving public safety, and giving families more peace of mind in moments of crisis. For a city the size of Burgas, even one more properly equipped vehicle could make a meaningful difference for residents, visitors, children, and older adults alike. How you can help: by donating and sharing this fundraiser, supporters can help bring life-saving emergency care closer to the people who need it most. Every contribution is a step toward making Burgas safer, stronger, and better prepared for the next emergency.
