Amusing Ourselves to Death is a satirical short film about Hallie, a hospice nurse turned social media influencer who will stop at nothing to capture the attention of her online audience. This story is being brought to life by a tight knit group of up and coming filmmakers who believe that the way we fight against the endless onslaught of brain rot is by creating and sharing actual stories with intention and a clear, critical message.

"When cultural life is redefined as a perpetual round of entertainments, when serious public conversation becomes a form of baby-talk, when, in short, a people become an audience and their public business a vaudeville act, then a nation finds itself at risk; a culture-death is a clear possibility."
This was written over forty years ago by Neil Postman the author of Amusing Ourselves to Death. Needless to say, it rings truer than ever today. This sentiment is the cornerstone of our project.
Through Hallie's story, we showcase the lengths that people will go to capture the attention of an online audience, and how willing they are to sacrifice their humanity along the way.
