UPDATE: We wanted to share an important and emotional update with everyone who has supported our family. Because of your help and generosity, we were able to post bond, and my dad is finally back home. Having him home again feels like a blessing after everything he went through.

The time he spent detained was extremely difficult for him and for all of us. There was a lot of fear, stress, and suffering during those days apart. Not knowing what would happen or when we would hear from him was one of the hardest things our family has ever experienced. We are beyond grateful to everyone who donated, shared, prayed, and stood by us. You truly helped bring him back home.

His court date is not over yet. We are still waiting for the next court date and continuing to face legal expenses as we fight to keep our family together. Continued support and sharing still mean so much to us.

Hi everyone, my name is Jesus Cruz, and I'm 18 years old. Our family is devastated and urgently asking for help. On January 14th, around 2:30 pm, my dad was detained while at work. He ran inside the hotel lobby where he works, and ICE agents tackled him. He was hit by the agents and taken away in an instant. The man who has always provided for our family was suddenly gone, leaving my mom and my two younger sisters shocked, heartbroken, and scared.

My dad has always been hardworking, kind, and there for us. He shows up for our family and our community without hesitation, and now his absence has left a painful void in our lives. My mom is trying her best to take care of us, but it's really hard to cover rent, groceries, and legal fees without him.

We are raising money to help pay for a lawyer, legal expenses, and any bond if it's available. The financial burden is more than we can manage alone. Every donation, no matter how small, will go directly to helping our dad fight to come home.

Mi papá siempre ha sido muy trabajador, buena persona y siempre está para nosotros. Mi mamá se queda en casa cuidándonos y está haciendo todo lo que puede pero no le alcanza para pagar la renta, la comida, y gastos legales.

Estamos juntando dinero para pagar abogado, gastos legales y cualquier fianza si es posible. Cualquier ayuda, aunque sea chiquita, va a ayudar mucho a que mi papá pueda volver a casa.
