Help bring Alona, Yelyzaveta, and Lika to the US!

Hello friends and family! I am raising $2000 dollars for a beautiful family from Ukraine to be able to find safety and stability with friends in New York state. Alona is a single mother to two incredible little girls, Yelyzaveta (9yo) and Lika (7yo). Having started in the financial sector, Alona now works professionally as a confectioner making mouth-watering cakes. Yelyzaveta loves to sing and do rhythmic gymnastics and wants to be an actress. Lika is an artist, loves ballet, and dreams of being a veterinarian.
Like many others in Ukraine, Alona, Yelyzaveta, and Lika have been separated from their loved ones and displaced from their home. Fear for their safety following the invasion has forced them to leave with next to nothing and travel hundreds of miles from Odessa to Berlin in search of shelter. While Alona and her daughters temporarily have a safe place to stay, Alona does not have clearance to work in Berlin and cannot sustain her family or build a future there.
Countless families are facing unimaginable uncertainty for their future, but we have been lucky enough to have the opportunity to make a difference in one family's lives. Through the Uniting for Ukraine program, Alona and her daughters have been authorized to come to the US, where Alona will be able to work. She is eager and hopeful for an opportunity to provide for her daughters, but after months of traveling and supporting a family without an income, Alona doesn't have the means to pay for their trip to New York. With ticket prices rising dramatically and a closing deadline to get here, we must book her tickets fast. Their authorization to travel to America expires on August 11th.
Alona currently has $1000, but the total cost of travel from Europe is expected to be around $3000. We are looking to raise the difference of $2000 as soon as possible. This $2000 will be used to buy tickets, pay for baggage and other travel costs, and get them here before their window of opportunity closes. To Alona and her daughters, this $2000 means safety, stability, and a chance to pursue their dreams.
Any amount you are able to give today would be so appreciated and heartfelt. We also fully understand that many would like to help but can't do so financially. If you are able to share this fundraiser on any platform, it would be equally as helpful and we would be so grateful. Thank you so much in advance for your donations, your willingness to share Alona and her daughters' story, and for any love and support you may have already provided to those suffering from the war.
