Help Bring Alexia Home

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the unexpected passing of our beautiful mother, Alexia “Lexi” Kakoherue Tjongarero. Born in Namibia in 1959, she later immigrated to Canada. From Nova Scotia, to Alberta, to British Columbia, she dedicated her years to pursuing her passion for community development, championing causes that impact the lives of children, youth, women, new immigrants and homeless persons. She was a model of true beauty, inside and out.

 

Above all else, was her love for her family and home country. To honour this, Beverley and I are raising funds to arrange her final journey to Namibia, where she will reach her final resting place in the city of Omaruru.
