Help Bring Alex Home to His Family

Monique is a dedicated paramedic who has spent over a decade serving the people of New York City. During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, she was on the front lines, risking her life every day to care for others. Now, Monique is facing a crisis of her own. While on vacation in North Carolina with her husband Alex and their two young sons, tragedy struck—Alex was hit by a car and is now in critical condition.
Alex is a devoted father and family man who means the world to his wife and children. He urgently needs to be transported back to New York City so he can receive care at a medical facility close to home and be reunited with his sons. Monique also needs to return to work to support her family. Unfortunately, Alex’s condition is so severe that only a fixed wing air ambulance can safely bring him home. Health insurance will not cover the full cost of this emergency transport, leaving Monique to pay the remaining amount out of pocket.
We are asking for support to help cover the air ambulance expenses so Alex can get the care he needs surrounded by his family at a New York facility. The funds will also go towards remaining medical expenses not covered by insurance and to help the family get back on their feet.
