My dad, Alejandro, was detained by ICE this morning around 11:00 AM in Ramona while he was on his way home. He was just around the corner from the house when he noticed them, and as soon as they saw him, they pulled him over without any warning. Given how everything happened, we believe someone may have reported him out of spite. Right now, we’re trying to figure out where he’s being held and what our next steps are, but we likely won’t have more information until after the weekend.

My dad is one of the hardest working people I know. No matter what he’s going through, whether he’s tired, stressed, or even sick, he always finds a way to provide for our family. He puts us before himself every single time. I never imagined I’d be in a position where I’d have to ask for help like this, but right now we feel helpless not knowing what to do or how to bring him home.
