Hello, my name is Nazario.

I am raising funds to help the family of Aldon Rochel Mata Cardona cover funeral expenses and transportation costs to bring his remains back to Guatemala.

Aldon was only 19 years old. He arrived in the United States in 2023 with dreams of helping his family in Guatemala. He lived in Oakland, California with his older brother and uncle.

He attended Oakland International High School, but later stopped going to school because he needed to work and help support his family. His mother has been seriously ill for more than 6 years after suffering a stroke. She cannot walk or move her hands, and Aldon worked very hard to help pay for her medications and daily needs.

I personally knew Aldon, and he was a humble, respectful, and hardworking young man. He always cared deeply about his family and wanted a better future for them.

Sadly, his dreams were cut short too soon. His family is now going through an unimaginable loss and needs support during this very difficult time.

Any donation, no matter how small, will help the family bring Aldon home to Guatemala and give him a proper farewell.

Estoy recaudando fondos para ayudar a la familia de Aldon Rochel Mata Cardona a cubrir los gastos funerarios y el traslado de sus restos a Guatemala.

Aldon tenía solamente 19 años de edad. Llegó a los Estados Unidos en el año 2023 con muchos sueños y esperanzas de ayudar a su familia en Guatemala. Vivía en Oakland, California junto a su hermano mayor y su tío.

Asistió a Oakland International High School, pero tuvo que dejar la escuela para comenzar a trabajar y ayudar económicamente a su familia. Su mamá ha estado gravemente enferma por más de 6 años después de sufrir un derrame cerebral. Ella no puede caminar ni mover sus manos, y Aldon trabajaba muy duro para ayudar con las medicinas y los gastos diarios de su mamá.

Yo personalmente conocí a Aldon, y era un joven humilde, respetuoso y muy trabajador. Siempre se preocupaba por su familia y quería darles un mejor futuro.

Lamentablemente, sus sueños terminaron demasiado pronto. Hoy su familia está pasando por un dolor inmenso y necesita apoyo en este momento tan difícil.

Cualquier donación, grande o pequeña, ayudará a la familia a llevar a Aldon de regreso a Guatemala y darle un último adiós digno.
