Hello big world family!
My name is Aimin Etwal and I'm a Guatemalan singer-songwriter based in Antigua, Guatemala. I am raising money to record an album! It will be a total of 7 songs and 3 videos.
I write music to encourage hope, deep reflection, transformation, love, and (r)evolution in the hearts of the people who hear it. I play live music in my hometown bars and restaurants (Antigua Guatemala), at weddings, and ceremonial circles & fires. As a musician, I also accompany facilitators during transformative journeys and at retreats.
Since I started writing songs 14 years ago I have often felt like a channel - I receive a download and out comes a song! Over the years, I have released a 5 song EP and 2 singles. However, I have dozens of other songs that the world could benefit from, and if I want the world to listen to them in these trying times for humanity, I need your help!
As an independent artist, recording an album in a studio requires money and time. I need to pay the producers & sound engineers, the musicians that will play the different instruments on the songs (drums, percussion, bass guitar, saxophone, and cello), a budget for publicity, the videographers who will record and edit the videos, artists to make the cover art, and time away from my main source of income - playing live music.
Though I am capable of recording this music without your help, it would take me years of time to accomplish.
The truth is that I have more material than time, and the songs keep coming!
The cost breakdown is as follows:
$5,500 studio fees (recording, tracking, mixing, mastering) 7
$2,000 music video production 3
$1,500 musician fees
$600 cover art for singles and album
$400 publicity
I have a head start on 3 of the songs - Cascada, Verde Profundo and I See you. I plan on releasing Cascada mid-August and the other 2 between August and September. An influx of cash would be the boost of confidence and support that I need to finish the ones I've started and record the rest by December 2024.
Once an artist records, the world can open up for them.
I am grateful to have already traveled to Chile, Italy, Germany, El Salvador, and Mexico to present my music, and my dream is to travel more of the world to share these songs of hope.
Thanks for helping me get to the next stage, hope to see you in the audience soon!
