I’m Aasiyah, a filmmaker, singer, musician and writer with a deep love for storytelling, history, and my heritage. I’m creating a powerful Afro-surrealist film inspired by my Louisiana Creole, Gullah Geechee and indigenous roots.
This film isn’t just art. It’s a movement, an ode to marginalized communities. It uplifts the voices of Black and Indigenous Southern communities. It’s mainly Southern Gothic folklore with a twist.
But as an independent filmmaker without studio backing, I need your help to bring this vision to life. Your support will fund:
• Production costs: cast, crew, equipment, and set locations across the Deep South
• Post-production: editing, music, sound design, and color
• Film festival submissions to help reach global audiences
• Marketing and distribution to uplift these stories beyond borders
Even $10 makes a difference. Help me share our culture, our spirits, and our truths through film. Let’s make something unforgettable together
