Hi everyone. I hate asking for help, but I’m in a situation where I truly need it for my dog, Abbie.

A few nights ago Abbie was hit by a car. It was one of the scariest moments of my life. I rushed her to the vet and they found she had a pneumothorax (collapsed lung) and very severe trauma that caused her liver enzymes to spike extremely high. She has been hospitalized while they drained the air from her lungs and monitored her closely.

By the grace of God, Abbie has improved enough that the vet says she can finally come home. Unfortunately, I cannot bring her home until the vet bill is paid.

The total bill is $2,200. I have already paid $500, which was everything I had at the moment, and I have $500 but there is still $1,200 remaining before they will release her.

Abbie means the world to me. She is not just a dog — she’s my best friend and my comfort through some of the hardest times in my life as I have lost my grandma & had a miscarriage and then a couple months later my fiance left me. All this happening in the last few months. This dog has helped me and been my comfort and honestly has kept me alive & fighting. Seeing her fight so hard to survive this accident has been heartbreaking and inspiring at the same time.
