Help bring a smile to an injured Israeli hero

Dear friends and community,

I recently returned from a trip to Israel where I had the opportunity to meet a close friend of mine. His son, Ohad, is currently undergoing rehabilitation for a head injury at the תל השומר facility.

Ohad, a 20-year-old active-duty soldier in the מגלן commando unit, faced a harrowing incident. His team was ambushed by a large group of Hamas terrorists at Kibutz זיקים. Tragically, Ohad's captain lost his life in the attack, but Ohad and his teammates continued to fight. Ohad managed to eliminate at least two terrorists before being seriously injured by a direct shot to his jaw.

Left unconscious on the battlefield, Ohad was believed to be dead until a courageous field paramedic, relying on bravery and instincts, conducted an emergency operation that saved his life. Evacuated to ברזילי באשקלון, Ohad was intubated and kept in a medically induced coma for two weeks.

Now in the slow process of recovery, Ohad faces a lengthy rehabilitation journey due to his head injury. His dream is to graduate from service and embark on a trip with his girlfriend, capturing their adventures with a drone.
