Hello! My name is Hayden, a New York native entering my senior year at Syracuse University's Visual and Performing Arts film program. Besides having been a residential advisor and a teaching assistant, I have also made a ton of friends and as a result been on dozens of film sets, despite being an introvert. I’ve experienced the filmmaking process from roles across pre-production, production, and post-production, and now it’s time for my final undergrad-go in the directors chair.
A Sharp Toothed Sheep is a short film that culminates all of the experiences that make someone a college student (with a bit of fantastical exaggeration). It follows Laurence, a 21 year old, whose crush invites him to a small get together of friends. Throughout the get-together, Laurence tries to integrate himself into this established friendgroup, but to no avail. Then, to his horror, after accidentally consuming raw chicken… he transforms into something monstrous, something other. Although this may sound like a tragedy in terms of stories, don’t fear. In the end, perhaps, he will still reconcile with his crush, but only funding will tell…
Speaking of funding, that’s where I need your help! Films, even short ones, are expensive. I’ve already recruited a talented crew and cast, but they’re only human after all, and humans need to eat. The majority of your donations will go straight to keeping the cast and crew nourished and hydrated. In addition, a portion will go to safe transportation of equipment and the renting of an AirBnB, the key (and only) location of this film.
I really appreciate any amount of donation, and even if you’re not in a place where that’s feasible, spreading the word (and link) is more than I can ask for.
Thank you all again!
Cheers,
Hayden
