Our family has been devastated by the sudden loss of my dad, who sadly passed away from a cardiac arrest shortly after returning home to the UK from the Philippines with his 7 year old son. after 3 days of travelling and finally making it through his front door he had a heart attack that led to a cardiac arrest which left my dad brain damaged.

Everything has happened so quickly, and we are still trying to process the shock and grief of losing him so unexpectedly.

My stepbrother, who has already lost his father, is now in my care here in Liverpool during an incredibly confusing and heartbreaking time for him. He is separated from his mother, who remains in the Philippines. Despite the emergency circumstances, she has so far been unable to obtain an emergency visa to travel to the UK to be with her son following this tragedy.

We are doing everything we can to support him emotionally and practically while also trying to manage funeral arrangements, legal matters, travel costs, and urgent family expenses connected to my dad’s passing.
