Hi, thanks for taking a moment here, where you can make a difference by helping a brilliant Tanzanian women that I personally came to know during field work in and around Arusha. My name is Lenore Arab, I am a professor at UCLA and was in Tanzania to study solutions for menstrual health issues of young girls there. I met an incredibly talented, hard working, creative and dedicated young woman who took the reins and taught 600 young women about their reproductive health. She also created a 'secret box' for these women to share privately and anonymously their deepest questions. This alone should become movie. But for Mwajabu the next step for her to gain a leadership position in a country that just after a very repressive regime, elected its first female president. She created this video herself while in Tanzania where she lives, and applied for a masters program with my encouragement, and was accepted! The DAAD scholarship she applied for is unfortunately, due to covid related delays, not yet open. It is highly competitive and would delay her start by a year or two even if she were one of the chosen few. So, to cover the cost of tuition , which is 13,400 Euro, NOT including living expenses and health insurance, we are hoping you can help in any way you feel called. I believe that investing in young black women like Mwajabu will give you the joy of seeing her thrive, and make a difference in her country. And knowing her, and the young women I met there, this will have a powerful ripple effect in a country that desperately needs and is at the cusp of a female awakening. Lets make this happen. I am guaranteeing her expenses on ground (another $15,000) for the course of the program (housing, food, health insurance, travel and living expenses). We are hoping you can help with the tuition payments. Thank you so much for your passion and compassion, and concern for young African women.
