My name is Linda Kerr, and I’m creating this GoFundMe on behalf of my best friend’s granddaughter, Violet, a sweet, spirited, and extraordinarily creative nine-year-old girl who has recently experienced heartbreaking loss.

A few years ago, Violet’s world changed forever when she lost her Mother, Claire and her Father is not involved in her life. No child should have to endure such grief at such a young age. In the wake of this unimaginable tragedy, Violet has been adopted and lovingly cared for by her grandmother, Carrie Swartz, who has opened her heart and home without hesitation.

While Carrie provides a safe and nurturing environment, the road ahead is full of financial challenges — especially when it comes to Violet’s future education.

Violet is a bright light. She loves to sing, act, and speak on stage, and her natural creativity shines in everything she does. We want to give her every opportunity to grow into the confident, successful young woman we know she can be.

This fundraiser will help support:

• Violet’s educational expenses, including school tuition, supplies, and tutoring

• Extracurricular activities that allow her creativity to blossom, such as theater or music lessons

• A college savings fund 529 is already in place. To ensure that her dreams never have to be put on hold due to financial strain
