We are humbly asking for your help!
2025 was a tumultuous year for Bridgewater farm and getting our delicious organic produce from rural Iowa to everyone from Des Moines to Omaha and in between!
We had 2 vans, one green and one white, and a truck that we used to do 7 different farmers markets each week and to deliver all over.
Late in the year, the transmission went out in our green van.
Our white van kept overheating and left people stranded on the interstate, intersections and many uncomfortable situations even after many mechanic attempts to fix the problem.
Our truck, at nearly 500k miles, had many issues including leaks and not starting in the cold.
After spending over 10k in mechanic bills last year only to have the vans die, we are in a difficult situation.
We ended last year having to use our personal cars and renting uhaul vans.
Here we are 2 months from farmers market season and we still have no replacement vehicles to get us going.
We have been searching for the right vans and trying to save money through a slow winter.
We have managed to save 5k to buy 2 vans but that can barely get one van with over 200k miles.
We will either be forced to scale back our offerings or we will need some help in getting through this challenging time.
We have applied for grants to help in purchasing vans but they were not accepted.
We are hoping to raise 5k to match our 5k so that we may continue to serve our communities and show up at farmers markets with a smile rather than frazzled from challenges.
Any help is much appreciated in these times!
Thank you for supporting our small family farm in a time when many farms are facing foreclosure.
