Update: Her Dad is now demanding it be paid in full in the next 30 days. He had agreed to allow me to contact the hospital to see up payments and then paid in full behind my back, leaving me owing him directly. This is a messy situation and I appreciate all of the help. The bills are still coming in as well

For those asking, Bridget was having full body spasms and went to the ER. She was put in the ICU because her calcium was so low they were afraid of organ failure. She was diagnosed with hypoparathyroidism and will be on medication for the rest of her life. Which is a lot for a 12 year to deal with.

Hi, my name is Aprill Savells, and I’m reaching out as a mom doing everything I can to keep my family afloat during an incredibly difficult time. My daughter Bridget recently needed emergency medical care and was hospitalized at Cook Children’s Hospital. She’s okay now, thankfully—but the bills are not.

We were hit with over $4,400 in uncovered costs, and while her father was able to pay the full amount upfront, I’m legally responsible for half. That means $2,263.79 is now owed by me—and I simply don’t have it.

I’ve been working hard to stay stable for my six kids. I left an unhealthy marriage last year, have been rebuilding from scratch, and every dollar right now goes to rent, food, and keeping the lights on. I'm not asking for luxury—just a little help to keep us breathing.
