Help Bridget & David get back on their feet.

Hi there, my name is Bridget and I am fundraising to help my fiance David and I get back on our feet. Sadly our home/conversion van 'FiddleTrips' was stolen from the San Francisco airport long-term parking lot while we were traveling to attend the memorial service for my late Godmother. We were gone for only three days. With the theft of our van, we've lost our home, our vehicle, all our possessions, and our livelihood.

 

We built FiddleTrips ourselves over seven months - pouring our hearts into outfitting her into the van of our dreams with solar panels and custom wood paneling made from recycled materials. At the time of the theft, we had been living in it full-time for six months. To earn a living, I made/soldered fine jewelry while David wrote his novel, but now I've lost all my inventory and equipment. Unfortunately, our insurance only covers the blue book value of our Ford E-350 van (before the conversion) and will not help us replace any of our possessions. We are left with nothing but a carry-on bag each.

 

This fundraiser will help us replace some of the items we've lost. It will help me purchase more jewelry-making equipment to earn a living, it will help us find a vehicle and buy some clothes. I know there are others out there in need, but we're calling on the vanlife community, and on all those who want to support the ideal of living simply and chasing a dream, to help us in this difficult time.
