I'm Joshua Diedrich, or Thor, a sculptor in Kalamazoo Michigan. I produced the Naked Identity Project that toured the country between 2019 and 2023, as well as many other public statues in bronze. My studio is a local hub of the creative community, providing space for classes, figure drawing and a creative space for the local Burning Man community.

I got the news that my studio building is being sold out from under me the night before Christmas. I've found a new location and have spent the last month working every day to stage things, store Burning Man artwork, and get packed up, but the suddenness of this move has put a strain on the studio's finances.

I tend to make a lot of money all at once, then slowly live off it until the next commission comes in, and we're at the end of that cycle, meaning this move is catching me flat-footed and there are a lot of surprising expenses involved.

A few people have asked if I had a GoFundMe setup, so I'm giving it a shot. I'm hoping to get figure drawing up and running again sometime in March, and have contingency plans for all my classes and my few small commissions right now, but if anyone can offer any help to get across this sudden gap, it is greatly appreciated.

Thank you!
