Help Bridge Reina's Disability Gap!

Hi friends!

This year I’ve been working hard to get my life set up in my new home of Philly. I’ve got a great home, lots of friends, and good doctors. Creatively I’ve been on a roll, including getting the musical TOTALLY NORMAL, which I wrote with my collaborators ready for a reading in NYC this fall, and writing a whole concept album, a dream project of mine.

However, I still need support. I am in the middle of applying for Social Security Disability since Long Covid, intense migraines, and mental health struggles make supporting myself with work impossible. It is a long drawn out process and it could be up to another year until I reach the next phase and get a decision. While I’m waiting for my appeal any kind of legit work can jeopardize my claim. So I’m reaching out to friends once again to see if you can help me bridge the Disability gap once again while I navigate this absurd system. Any amount helps! I've already sold my car and guitars. But I'm running out of resources.

Also, I’m getting top surgery on 5/29, so any financial support will also help me with meals and medical supplies.

I turn 35 in a month-ish (6/13) so you can think of this as a way to celebrate this milestone birthday with me! As a friend of mine reminded me, I've devoted much of my adult life to offering my creative work to my communities for free and/or low cost. I appreciate that folks are showing up for me now in my time of need.
