Help Brickey Family

The Brickey family has been blessed with another child due to arrive in late October. Unfortunatley, Jessica has a pregnancy complication, Hypermesis Gravidarum, that affects .03-2% of pregnant women. It is most easily described as being “allergic” to pregnancy. Women with HG have extreme, persistent nausea and vomiting (all day and night) which in Jessica’s case led to dehydration, and an electrolyte imbalance. Jessica started daily IV infusions on Friday (2-3 hours a day) to help provide her with the minerals and hydration she needs to hopefully avoid hospitalization. This daily treatment is not covered by insurance.

Due to this, she is temporarily unable to care for herself, and their three children, Marin, Everett and Noa. The family is looking into hiring daily care for Jessica and their children during this time when Sam has to work. Prayerfully this is temporary and not needed for the duration of the pregnancy, but unknown.

If you are in a place, and would like to contribute to covering her daily infusions and care, the family would humbly and graciously accept any donations and look forward to passing that same kindness on to others later!
