Our sweet 6-year-old Briar recently suffered a devastating accident when a heavy table fell and crushed her head. She has been airlifted for emergency medical care and is currently undergoing intense treatment for severe head trauma, including multiple skull fractures and a brain bleed. Briar’s injuries are extensive, and her journey to recovery will be long and challenging.

**The Road Ahead**

While Briar has shown incredible strength, her condition remains critical. The medical team is closely monitoring her brain for any changes, and she has already undergone multiple CT scans. The stability of her condition is encouraging, but there are still significant hurdles to overcome. Her care team is doing everything possible to keep her calm and happy, as even a hard cough or sneeze could jeopardize her healing process.

Briar’s nurses have been angels, caring for her with tenderness, painting her nails, doing her hair, and playing her favorite Taylor Swift songs to keep her spirits high. As she fights to heal, the best-case scenario is a long road to recovery, with many unknowns along the way.
