Help Briar Heal ❤️

This is Briar, our sweet 8-year-old rescue dog. He continues to deal with heartworm, and while he’s already begun treatment, following an allergic reaction, he now needs additional care to get fully healthy again.

Briar has such a gentle spirit—he’s the kind of dog who wins people over just by being near them. After everything he’s been through it breaks our hearts to see him facing another hurdle. The good news is that with the right treatment, Briar has a strong chance at many more happy, healthy years.

He will need the initial aggressive treatment and then on going heartworm medication that will be expensive. He will also eventually need some extensive dental work due to previous trauma in his life.

When we decided to foster Briar it was with the intent of helping him get healthy and then find a forever home for him. We can’t, in good conscience, ask someone else to assume the burden of his care. As it makes it much more likely he will just go unadopted.

We are asking for a little help to cover the vet bills so Briar can get the care he needs. Any amount makes a difference, and even sharing his story helps more than you know.
