Help Brian's family with medical & funeral bills

Donation protected
We are all in shock and disbelief and heart broken.
I unexpectedly lost my brother,  Brian Eggum yesterday, Jan. 14, 2022 to covid.   We all thought we were fighting cancer.   We had no idea the real enemy was covid.  Brian got covid right before Christmas and we were worried but we thought he would be able to fight through since he had all his covid shots including the booster.  But his body was weakened by the 9th chemo treatment he just completed and his body could not heal from covid.  Brian went to the Mayo Hospital by ambulance on Dec. 29, 2021 and arrived with critically ill lungs.  We all prayed as Brian was sedated and put on a ventilator to heal and rest his lungs and body.  We all prayed daily and had a lot of hope Brian was strong enough to fight this.  On day 15 we were told by the ICU team at the Mayo Hospital that all their efforts to help Brian were now causing more harm than good.  He was getting damage to his heart and his kidneys were no longer working and fluid was building in his body and in his lungs.  We had to let him go.  It was very hard to stop hoping and believing he would be able to fight through this and come home to us but, we had to let him go.  Brian fought and stayed with us 16 days.  We said good-bye to him on Friday, January 14, 2022.   We are all heart broken.

Brian always tried to stay positive and hopeful throughout his cancer.  He kept working hard at his job, through all 9 of his chemo treatments. He worked hard for his wife and 3 girls.  His family was his heart and love.  He stayed positive for the future and did not plan for anything bad to happen.  Like  most of us, Brian did not have any plans for a funeral, burial or money saved for any of that.

Brian's wife, Nikki and 3 girls ages 5, 15 and 20 really need help.  Any donation would help take the financial stress off the family at this very hard time.  They need money for all Brian's medical bills and expenses from last year and this year and funeral & burial expenses.  If you can help in anyway your help would be very much appreciated.  This is such a devastating time right now for Brian's wife, girls and family.  Thank you for all your support, help, prayers and kindness.   Love, Brian's Sister, Jenelle & Family

My brother, Brian got diagnosed with Stage 3 C colon/rectal cancer last Spring, 2021. He started his chemotherapy in August 2021 after healing from his big surgery in July. Brian just completed his 9th chemo treatment and got covid. His body was so tired from the chemo that he had a hard time with covid. Brian ended up going to the hospital by ambulance on December 29, 2021 because of breathing problems. He arrived at the Mayo hospital with critically ill lungs due to covid. He was diagnosed with covid pneumonia and they tried to stabilize Brian. He has been critical in the ICU sedated on a ventilator ever since. Brian has covid pneumonia, bacterial and fungal infections in his lungs. We are all praying that Brian can heal and make improvements on the ventilator. Today is day 11 in the hospital, Jan. 9, 2022.

Brian & his wife Nikki and his 3 girls really need help paying medical, hospital bills and insurance out of pocket payments. All these bills are going to be huge and overwhelming. Please help Brian's family focus on Brian and his healing and not have to worry about money and bills.
Any amount you can donate will help Brian and his family. I thank you for reading Brian's story and caring. Thank you!!! Love, Brian's Family & Sister, Jenelle <3
