Hi, my name's Brian. My family and I moved to the state of Florida around tax time to help my mother-in-law with bills and her health, to not only try to better ourselves but hers too. When we got here, we had a place to stay, but that didn't last long because the person we were staying with kicked us to the curb taking advantage of us after taking our money two weeks into staying there.

After being homeless for almost a week in a place we knew nothing about, we got the funds to get into a two-bedroom apartment in Moore Haven, Florida, where we know no one and have very limited job opportunities but it is a roof over our heads. I recently found out I have an injury to my neck and back due to a car accident I was in while we were back in NY, and the doctors have taken me out of work until I can get through the therapy and possible surgery I need to heal.

I've never asked for help in a manner like this and I feel useless for having to ask, so please, please, please, anything helps!!! I come from a low-income family that hasn't been dealt a good hand of cards ever!! We need this more than ever to get home to the rest of our family!! We are asking for travel funds to get back home and for a place to rest our heads when we get there. We need this more now than ever before, please help!! We have asked county for help here in Florida and they have stated they can't help us even in the condition we are in. My wife is ongoing treatment for an injury to her foot that happened during our move after we got kicked out. She dropped out safe out of our truck on her foot causing her to have a very bad injury.
