My name is Brian, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart. Life has brought my family and me through more than our share of storms. I lost my first wife to cancer after 13 years of marriage—a loss that changed me forever. More recently, I went through a painful divorce from a covert narcissist, a relationship that left deep scars, especially for my oldest daughter who endured abuse. Additionally, my dad, who was the glue that made sense, passed away on December 17, one month after losing my job, following a long struggle with Alzheimer’s. Through it all, I’ve fought to keep my family safe, loved, and together.
Today, I am proud to be sober, but I am unemployed and struggling to provide the basics—food, shelter, and security. I’ve applied for EBT and unemployment benefits, but after weeks of waiting, we’re still pending approval. Every day, I’m searching and applying for jobs, determined to rebuild our lives, but so far, nothing has come through. It’s humbling and sometimes overwhelming to have the experience and passion I do, yet find myself in this place.
The funds from this fundraiser will help us cover the essentials: groceries, mortgage payments, car payment, insurance, utilities, and other basics. These expenses add up quickly, and it’s a struggle to keep up while I search for work. Your support will help us stay afloat and give me the time I need to secure employment and provide for my family again.
I am deeply grateful for any support, prayers, or encouragement you can offer. Your kindness means more than words can say, and I hope my story reminds others that it’s okay to ask for help when you need it. Thank you for standing with us during this vulnerable time. Special thanks to Tim Ryan for his ongoing support, and to everyone who keeps us in their prayers. #vulnerable
