My niece Brianna just had her life turned upside down on Thursday, April 23, when her apartment building was completely destroyed in a fire. She lost everything she owned except for the clothes on her back.

As you can imagine, she is reeling from being completely uprooted and having nothing left. She has always loved having family pictures and heirlooms. She is a prolific letter writer and kept old fashioned correspondence with many friends and family. All of this is gone. On top of this, she lost her cats, Sasquatch and Saberhagen. This is just so much to process.

She has been able to get her ID replaced and is working on getting her keys for her car (which were in the apartment when she ran out). Now, Brianna is faced with the daunting task of starting over from scratch. She must find a new place to live, and furnish it. She must purchase clothing and all of the essentials.

Brianna is a hard worker and always lights up the room with her humor and sass! She is always willing to help others in need. Our family is so very grateful for any help that can be offered to get her back on her feet.
