Help Brianna Moonier Overcome Cancer Again

My name is Brianna Moonier. In 2021, I found out I had a genetic mutation, BRCA1, which increases the likelihood I will develop breast, ovarian, skin, and pancreatic cancers. So, in August of 2022, I made the difficult decision to undergo a bilateral double mastectomy to reduce the risk of developing cancer. A week after my reconstruction surgery, in December 2022, I received a call from my oncologist that cancer was discovered in a lymph node in my internal mammary chain. Because of my BRCA1 status, it was assumed that I had early stage breast cancer. After additional tests and scans, the tumor board decided I would not need further treatment.
Now, while all of this was happening, I was experiencing other side effects that affected my menstrual cycle. So, I started seeing multiple doctors to try to figure out what was going on. Fast forward to March 6, 2033, and I was told at my bedside after a biopsy that I had cancer and it had spread. I thought my life was over… one month later, I started treatment for stage 3c2 cervical cancer, which included 30 rounds of external radiation, 5 rounds of chemo, and 5 rounds of internal radiation. It broke my body down. I couldn’t work. I could barely eat or walk. I was in constant pain. Due to this treatment, my ovaries were destroyed, and they were removed earlier this year. My whole life had been changed forever. However, I got great news three months after treatment showing the tumor was going away. Now, the process of rebuilding my strength, overcoming side effects, and continually pushing for the best care started. After many hospital and doctor visits, I was given the appropriate treatment and my life started to become manageable.
Unfortunately, two weeks ago my 1 year PET scan showed a worrisome lymph node in my neck. Last week, a needle biopsy showed the lymph node was positive for malignancy and the same cancer. After the removal of the lymph node, and further confirmation of my new diagnosis, the tumor board discussed my case again. It was decided that the best treatment plan would be to complete the “kitchen sink” chemotherapy, or systemic therapy.
I made this GoFundMe because the last go around really put me in a financial bind, and I’m worried I will not be able to work for upwards of 5 months this time.
I appreciate any and everyone who can donate to this.
