Help Briana and Walter Care for Anaia

My daughter Briana Robinson delivered her baby girl Anaia whom has made her grand entrance a little over one month ago with a condition called CDH (congenital diaphragmatic hernia). Baby Anaia is currently in the NICU in the hospital.

Anaia is showing signs of resilience and is already inspiring. Anaia continued to fight through a successful but a very complex surgery at such a young stage in her life. This is going to be a long journey for Ania and my daughter Briana Robinson along with the father of Anaia Walter Robeson. We do not know when Anaia will come home from the hospital and what ongoing care she will need, we do know she will need ongoing care. Day 35! I don’t even know where to start…yall wouldn’t even believe the blessings Anaia has had in the past few weeks. She is truly gods work! Since my last detailed update, she went from being on the ventilator, to moving on to the (over the head cpap), to being on an adjusted cpap, to now on a high flow nasal cannula. As of today, she is now eligible to start her feeding journey by mouth! She has been able to be weaned from a lot of her pain medications and she is less and less sedated. She has also gotten multiple lines out of her which makes it easier and easier to hold her. These are all huge steps in a CDHers journey. The doctors, nurses and staff are constantly saying how proud they are of her. WE are proud of her. All of the prayers are working overtime. This is proven to me because she recently had an MRI scheduled to investigate the reason why she may have had a grade 2 brain hemorrhage a few weeks ago. This was something that worried us a ton on top of the condition she already has. But when she went under for imaging they found that she did not even have a brain hemorrhage at all and no trace of one ever occurring! This is a miracle!!! There are so many more things I could mention, but it would be an extremely long post. Just know that my strong precious daughter is kicking ass in this NICU for her condition that she has. And seeing her fight so hard day in and out is telling me that she was supposed to be here with us. She’s another step closer to coming home every day!
