Help Brian With Unexpected Medical Bills
Donation protected
Many of my fellow Amity High School graduates may remember Brian Houlihan, who graduated in 1985 with us. He played varsity hockey all three years all of high school and co-captained with Dan McCarthy and Rob Dow senior year.
Brian recently contracted viral meningitis on top of getting Covid. It took awhile to diagnose, and Brian was very sick in the hospital. He came home this week and is recuperating, but of course medical insurance will not cover all the bills.
Brian never asked me to start this page, however, he is one of those rare people that makes such a difference in his community and the world. He is the community relations director at The Pines at Hilton Head, aiding families with loved ones who have care needs, specifically dementia. He is a dementia specialist with numerous accreditions - a career trajectory that took off when he saw his own father through dementia. He is currently his mother’s primary caregiver, and she as well suffers from dementia. Helping seniors live their best lives has always been a priority for Brian.
Brian’s humility and gratitude for his nearly five years of sobriety is evident when he openly shares his story. Helping others defeat alcoholism is another passion of his.
Brian’s beautiful wife, Haydee and daughter, Kaitlyn, are his whole world and if you have ever glanced at his facebook page, you can clearly see that. If you don’t know Brian, you will just have to take my word for it that he is a beautiful soul and a blessing to this world.
Any amount, even $1, adds up. Please help us alleviate some of the financial pressure from Brian and his family. He is well worth it.
