Hello, my name is Taylor Thomas, I am fundraising on behalf of my father-in-law, Brian Wimpey, who was diagnosed with an extremely aggressive form of AML (Acute Myeloid Leukemia) on November 27th, 2025. Our family is devastated and overwhelmed by how quickly his health has declined.
Brian has always been the definition of strength and hard work. He spent his life farming, tending to his cows and fields, building houses, and doing whatever it took to provide for his family. He often worked 70 hours a week without hesitation, making sure his home was warm, his family was fed, and his loved ones were cared for.
He adored riding his grandson around on his tractors and working on vehicles with his oldest son. Brian is a man who has always given everything he had to the people he loves.
Now he is fighting the hardest battle of his life.
Brian remains in the hospital and has already coded once — his heart stopped — which has left the entire family shaken. His wife, Cindy Wimpey, is 60 years old and has health issues of her own, but she refuses to leave his side for even a moment.
Brian will need:
A bone marrow transplant
A stem cell transplant
Aggressive chemotherapy
Long, difficult hospital stays and recovery
Doctors have told us he will be unable to work for at least a year and a half, possibly longer. For a man who has worked tirelessly his entire life, this is heartbreaking.
The financial strain on the family has become almost overwhelming. We are asking for support with:
Medical costs not covered by insurance
House payments
Gas for travel (his children drive 1 hour and 45 minutes every other day to visit him)
Living expenses while Brian is unable to work
Support for Cindy as she stays with him in the hospital
Our family is doing everything we can, but we simply cannot shoulder this alone. Any donation — no matter the amount — will help us keep their home stable and allow us to focus on supporting Brian through this terrifying and emotional journey.
If you can’t donate, please share this page. Every share means more prayers, more support, and more hope.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
