Help Brian & Tony Overcome This Tough Time
Donation protected
Hey friends and family! It’s Brian here. I hate to ask this, but I need some support if you can spare it.
My truck broke down today just off University Avenue in Columbus. I believe it’s an issue with the drive shaft (likely just a U-joint and hopefully not a transmission issue) but I won’t know for sure until I can get it to the shop I normally use and trust for an estimate. Unfortunately, weekend towing alone is around $100, and that’s before any repair costs are known.
With everything else already going on (the eviction, the job search, trying to care for myself and Tony) this one hit pretty hard today, but I’m still thankful for my blessings and I’m still smiling through the urge to give up. The Tacoma pick truck is pretty old, but it’s in fairly solid shape and it has been a lifeline for me and my buddy Tony. I need to get it looked at ASAP to avoid losing momentum.
It probably goes without saying that I’m also extremely behind on all bills (medical, utilities, and others)… even the electricity/power bill, but a friend covered that one so I could get it turned back on this past Monday. The only billing statement that is current is my cell phone bill (thanks to family support) and probably the most worrisome outstanding payment is my truck insurance. I’m several months behind there Also, even though I will be evicted, I will still owe the apartment management company back rent and court costs. I’ve gotten myselff into a mess y’all.
The good news? A friend in Auburn has offered me and Tony a temporary place to stay, which is an incredible opportunity that I’m beyond grateful for. But I need to get this truck moving to make it all work.
If you’ve followed my journey recently, you know I’ve been doing everything I can to rebuild from the ground up financially, emotionally, spiritually, physically, and professionally. And I truly believe I have turned an amazing corner, hopefully with a job offer on the other side. I just need a little help getting past this bump in the road (literally and figuratively).
Any support (of any amount), as well as any shares, prayers, and good vibes you can offer would mean the world to me and Tony. You know I’ll keep you all updated along the way.
Much love, and thank you for being part of this journey. ❤️
