Sometimes shitty things happen to good people, and this is no exception. Our beloved friend, phenomenal tattooer, and beautiful human Brian Tichelaar has been recently diagnosed with both pancreatic cancer and pancreatitis. This disorder is both extremely painful and hard to treat but he has had a great deal of success with managing the symptoms through various holistic means- which, naturally, aren’t covered by insurance. Adding to this is the fact that he cannot work, and when you’re a one-person business this is uniquely crushing as the expenses of studio rent and the like remain. Brian has a long recovery and treatment road ahead of him, and while he has a ton of emotional support and a very caring family in his daily life, financial support is missing and needed. He will most likely be out of work for about a year while undergoing various modern and ancient treatments in the hopes that we both cure Brian’s cancer and foster an environment free from as many stresses as possible while he is healing. In today’s world, money is both the greatest source of stress and biggest determinate in the probability of remission. As such, no amount of help is too little, and every penny given in times like these is greatly appreciated.
