Help Brian & Stephanie Start Over After Flood

Putting together this GoFundMe for Brian and his family, who just endured an unimaginable disaster on their family farm in Texas.

Just over a year ago, they set out to build their dream: a homestead where they could raise their kids close to the land. Brian spent months building everything by hand— a house, vegetable gardens, livestock enclosures, and a life full of love, hard work, and self-sufficiency.

But this weekend, that dream was turned upside down.

On Friday, a sudden and catastrophic flood tore through their farm with almost no warning. Within an hour of rainfall, the empty creek swelled and turned into a torrent, rising up to eight feet in places and consuming everything in its path.

Brian, Stephanie, the kids, and their animals barely made it out alive.

They were able to save their sheep, dogs, and most of their chickens—but their home and property were completely destroyed:

The house was flooded and is no longer safe to enter. Critical support columns collapsed.

Their tools, equipment, supplies, and personal belongings—everything they use to live and work—were ruined.

Even their truck was partially submerged as they tried to escape the rising waters.

In Brian’s own words, “Everything’s gone. We’re completely devastated and starting over from zero.”

This wasn’t a slow flood. It was a violent, rushing river that turned their land into a disaster zone in minutes. Despite the shock and loss, Brian and Stephanie are resilient and in good spirits. But they can’t do this alone. He’s not the type to ask for help. But the truth is, they’re going to need a lot of support to get back on their feet.
