Help Brian Stay Housed & Rebuild His Life
Donation protected
Dear Friends, I’m reaching out with a heartfelt plea for my best friend, Brian Schiffman, who urgently needs support to cover basic living expenses as he works toward rebuilding his life. Brian and I met in college back in September 1996, and despite the distance between us, we’ve remained incredibly close. We talk every day, and I’ve had a front-row seat to the many challenges he’s faced—especially in recent years. Through it all, Brian has stayed steady, funny, and loyal. He’s the kind of person who lifts you up, even when his own situation is tough.
Brian lives with cerebral palsy, which has made it increasingly difficult for him to work. Because of systemic barriers and health-related limitations, he’s been unable to maintain employment for several years. That’s left him struggling to afford rent, utilities, food, and other daily necessities. Now, the good news: Brian is taking real steps to get back into the workforce. But that process takes time—and in the meantime, he needs support just to get through the next few months.
We’re aiming to raise funds to help cover Brian’s essential living expenses while he gets back on track. These funds will help him stay safely housed, afford food and basic supplies, cover utilities and transportation, and maintain stability and dignity as he works toward re-entering the workforce. Brian is also a gifted writer and aspiring comedian who brings sharp wit and creativity to the people around him. He’d never ask for this kind of help on his own—so I’m doing it for him. If you’re able to contribute, know that your donation will have a real, direct impact. Every dollar helps. Thank you so much for your kindness and support.
