My name is Sunnie.
I am Brian's wife.
Brian has been fighting one wound or another on his feet for between 10 and 12 years.
He has fought hard to stay on his feet.
The time has finally come when he can no longer continue this fight.
Instead of struggling and missing out on more quality of life, he will be having surgery.
One that we have been worried about for many years.
Now instead of worrying we plan to go forward with him getting a prosthetic.
Getting him on his feet.
Our insurance will cover a lot if we can get things done before November.
That does not look like it is going to be the case since the soonest that they could get an appointment for his surgery was November 5th.
If they can work him in a sooner because of a cancellation we will let you know.
His insurance policy reups itself on November 1st, right now he has maximum out of pocket covered and a lot of this would have been taken care of, but as soon as November 1st rolls around we will have to pay the maximum out of pocket deductible coinsurance out of pocket.
we are coming up with some things that he needed he has a hospital bed on its way. A gentleman has offered to build the ramp for Brian so he can get in and out of the house.
we have a bedside commode. we have been given a over-the-bed hospital style lunch tray table.
we really do appreciate everybody that has been helping us out pointing Us in the right direction for organizations that are helping people in the same position that we are in.
we understand that not everybody is going to be able to donate, as times are hard for everybody.
No matter what please stay in touch with him.
It's the phone calls the text messages and just knowing that people are thinking about him that is going to keep his spirits high as he fights one of the hardest fights he has ever faced so far.
we are looking at roughly 15,000 out of pocket just to make this happen for him.
So thank you everybody for having his back, and hopefully within a few months he will be back standing on his own two feet so to speak.
For now we are unsure what to expect.
