Brian Sorrill, my son, has recently been placed on the lung transplant waiting list at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis. This news has brought both hope and anxiety to our family, as we know the road ahead will be long and challenging. While Brian has insurance, it will not cover many of the expenses that come with a transplant, including significant medical bills and the costs of ongoing care.
Because we live far from St. Louis, our family will need to relocate there for three months during Brian’s recovery. None of the housing or related expenses are covered by insurance, and we will also face uncovered medical expenses and the cost of a caregiver to help Brian through this critical time. These financial burdens are more than we can manage alone, and we are reaching out for support to help us get through this journey.
Brian is 54 years old, the father of three girls and the grandfather of seven, ranging in age from 1 to 13. His grandchildren need their grandfather, and our family needs your help to make sure he can be there for them. Any support you can offer—whether monetary, prayers, or good wishes—means the world to us. Thank you for considering helping Brian and our family during this difficult time.
