Hi everyone,

I’m creating this fundraiser on behalf of Brian because, honestly, he would never ask for help himself. But after what happened, we truly need the support of our community—especially since our friend is between jobs right now.

I was with him when we returned from a doctor’s appointment to find his apartment filled with thick black smoke, with our two cats trapped inside. Thankfully, firefighters were able to rescue them safely, one by one.

While we’re incredibly grateful that no one was hurt, the aftermath has been overwhelming. The entire apartment is soaked from the firefighting efforts, and most of Brian’s essential belongings—his computer, musical equipment, Mac laptops, iPad, art books, bed, and many other tools and necessities—have been heavily damaged by water and smoke.

These aren’t just belongings; they’re his livelihood. Brian is a graphic designer and artist, and his equipment is how he earns his income. Without his desktop setup and design tools, he can’t work or take on gigs. He relies on freelance design work and music performances, and rebuilding from this kind of loss alone just isn’t possible.

We’re asking for help to replace the most essential items so Brian can get back on his feet, continue his creative work, and rebuild some stability after such an unexpected loss.
