- As many of you know, Brian was diagnosed with 2 different primary cancers (kidney and liver) in October 2024. The liver cancer is a very rare and aggressive form that only affects about 1 out of a million people with cancer. Brian has been undergoing chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments since February and is now scheduled to have cancer removal surgery for both the liver and kidney, plus two of the lymph nodes between the liver and kidney. The surgery will be two surgeons at the same time, one doing the liver resection and the other doing the lymph nodes and kidney. Recovery from this surgery is 5 to 7 days in the hospital and 2 more months at home.
