Brian Prewitt is my hardheaded yet sweet Chihuahua, and he’s been my companion since I adopted him from an abusive household after he was rescued. He’s not just my dog—he’s my spirit animal. We both love to eat, but lately, we’ve been struggling with life-altering illnesses. Brian is ten years old, and it’s easy to forget how much time has passed. For a little guy, he eats plenty and is always a bit greedy, but right now, his intake isn’t helping him as it should. His health has been deteriorating, and it’s evident by his thinning form and lack of energy.
Brian needs digital radiography, bloodwork, an ultrasound, and exploratory surgery just to find out what’s wrong. There’s a mass buildup near his spleen that needs removal, and only then will we know if it’s diabetes, a blockage, or worst-case scenario: cancer. The urgency is clear, and the cost of these procedures is overwhelming. If Brian receives this surgery, he’ll be able to move around better and have far fewer stomach issues. The funds raised will cover the necessary procedures and give him a chance at a healthier, happier life.
Anyone who supports this fundraiser will have our eternal gratitude. I know it isn’t much, but Brian means everything to me. I have health issues myself, and I fully understand the struggle Brian is undergoing. Your help would mean the world to us, and together, we can give Brian the care he needs to keep fighting.
