Hi, My name is Becky Pouliot and I am writing this on behalf of my husband Brian. Brian has been healthy up until months ago when he started experiencing abdominal pain. This pain becomes so unbearable that it keeps him up at night, resulting in a lack of a good night's sleep for months. Tests revealed that the pain was from a mass on his pancreas. After the biopsy, Brian was unable to keep any food or water down. He went back to the hospital 4 days later and ended up being admitted unexpectedly for an additional 3 weeks. During this time, Brian had a Whipple procedure, part of his intestines removed, and vein intersection-a 19 hour procedure in total. After the hospital stay is when we finally received a diagnosis: Stage 3 Pancreatic Adenocarcinoma.
Brian has completed 5 rounds of chemo. He gets chemo every other week for 12 rounds, followed by 6 months of radiation.
Brian and I have been together for 21 years, married for 17 years, and share 4 children together- a 17, 16, 13, and 10 year old. Brian also has an older son from a previous relationship. My husband has not had an easy life. My father died October 2024 and Brian's dad died November 2024, both from blood cancers. I have applied to over 60 nursing jobs with no luck.
So I am reaching out to the community asking for help. Any donations would be greatly appreciated to help me and my family through these difficult times that will be used for household expenses and medical treatments. Thank you again.
